KALIMPONG TRAIL RUN 2026
The Kalimpong Trail Run takes you from the heart of Kalimpong town at Damber Chowk into the remote mountain trails and villages that have connected these hills for generations.
From Kamsi, the route follows historic trails once used by communities from Samalbong and Charkhole to carry ginger, cardamom and other produce to Kalimpong, returning with salt, cloth and essential supplies.
Kalimpong has long been shaped by mountain trade, migration and communities living across these ridges. Today, we follow those old paths with a different purpose — to run, explore and experience the mountains.
The trail descends to Relli Khola, before rising towards Samalbong Rai Dara. The climb will test your endurance, but the reward is the sweeping view of Kalimpong town with Kanchenjunga on the horizon.
Through the forests and changing terrain of Charkhole, the final challenge awaits — the climb to Jhandi Dara.
A demanding ascent. A 360° mountain panorama. A moment you will remember.
The journey finishes at Charkhole, surrounded by pine forests, mountain ridges and the living landscape of rural Kalimpong.
This is not a road race.
It is a mountain journey built on history, community and the raw beauty of the Himalayas.
The race is the challenge.
The trail is the story.
The mountains are the experience.
